The Celestial Stag by AnnaDraconida
"I wrote a short song about this eternal being when I was little... reading it again after many years inspired me to depict him.

Philosophy Friday

As part of an ongoing study I will be putting up a word every Friday.
I would like you to comment on the post what the word brings to mind or to answer one of the questions associated with the word.
 This week's word is

Growth

How do you judge growth?
Age? Maturity? Understanding? Knowledge? Behavior?
Do you feel it is purely physical? Past a certain age?
Does growth prove impossible for certain aspects?
Which aspects? Can somethings never change?

Stone Dragon 07:Turquoise Dawn by rachaelm5
"Seventh in an ever-growing series of dragons whose colors are based on precious and semi-precious stones.

Turquoise is another one of my favorite stones - anything from an almost yellowy-greeny-blue to that deep azure-turquoise blue: I wanted to get a bunch of different tones of turquoise into this picture.

I wasn't sure that the gold linework would work originally, but I thought I'd try it to see what would happen. I ended up being quite pleased with the effect. I usually see silver and turquoise jewelry, but I think the gold really sets off the blues and greens as well. :D

Prismacolor pencil, gold paint pen, and Photoshop tweaking."

What levels of friendship do you have?
Do you feel that all friendships are the same?
Are they different due to gender? Age? Relation?
What do you expect from your friends?
Loyalty? Trust? Help? Commitment? Devotion? Support?

Once Upon a Time In a Forest by Kaytara
"This one is freaky - I started it in October a YEAR ago and actually nearly finished it... apart from the grass and the water on the bottom. That, and the rest had been done on the old monitor, so it was a rather searing acidic green. One of the MANY things I had to fix when I got back to this a few days ago at a family member's forceful insistence. ^^
I didn't change much of the background I had already painted save for some minor colour and blending issues, so I'm not as satisfied as I could be with this piece, but oh well, I've been itching to finish it for a year. ^^ Enjoy. :D"
